White Linen Wedding Dresses

Since the majority of the couples are getting married during the romantic warm seasons of the year, more and more brides are looking for suitable fabrics, colors and designs for outdoor wedding dresses.

If you are interested in finding out what types of materials are the most used in summer wedding dresses, here are a few suggestions: batiste, crepe, damask, illusion net, duchesses stain, organza, silk, chiffon, cotton, gauze, rayon or linen. Among all these sheer fabrics, linen is one of the most adequate materials for a summer outdoor wedding dress. Linen is great because it can make the bride feel the comfort and the practicality that every bride is looking for in a wedding day dress, and could make a perfect fit for any type of body shape of figure.

This type of fabric looks great in a myriad of colors and shades, such as red, yellow, green, turquoise, orange, cream, beige or violet, but the most suitable color for a summer outdoor wedding is definitely the king white. A white linen wedding dress will protect the bride from the hot sunrays and the high temps and it will also make her look like a nature goddess.

In general, white linen wedding dresses are perfect for nature inspired weddings, held on beaches, islands, open fields, mountains or in country sides, parks, gardens or back yards. The idea of spending the wedding day in the middle of the nature seems to be very inspiring and attractive for many couples of today, especially for the brides, who are “allowed” to wear a more comfortable and breezy wedding dress.

Hardly a white linen wedding dress can look formal, rigorous and sophisticated, because the light-weighted and draping fabric can’t be used in complex, intricate and elaborated details, ruffles, frills or layers. The style of a white linen wedding dress is in general simple and clean.

The bride must breathe properly in a wedding dress and still look at her best. A simple casual white linen wedding dress can do that. For those of you who are planning a destination wedding, a casual unsophisticated white linen wedding dress could be the answer to all your prayers. If a nature themed wedding affair is what you really have in mind, then you can choose from many styles, lengths and designs that fit your body figure and flatter your personality best.

Choose a long or a romantic ankle length flowing bohemian spaghetti strap white linen wedding dress for a simple and refined look, or choose a hippie V-neck poet long sleeved white linen wedding dress for a more nonchalant and unconventional look. You can go with a sensual A-line strapless white linen wedding dress for a more romantic and flirty look, or you can opt for a chic tea length white linen wedding dress with a full ballerina or bell skirt and a square, one shoulder or halter neckline.

thank you for the idea you gave and the tips in the last paragraph f your article. I am planning a beach wedding and so I really need something that would let me breath and make me feel comfortable. I think you are right about linen and I think this is what I am going to look for. However, I am still having problems regarding the length of my wedding dress, but as seen in your article, i can choose what I find best for me. I think that for the location I chose an appropriate length would be the ankle one, since I don’t look good is short dresses. I want to thank you again for this article, as it helped me a lot deciding on the kind of dress I would like to wear.
