Trying on wedding dresses

Searching and yet finding the right wedding dress for the big wedding day is in most cases a very long lasting process. Not all the brides are that firmly determined and decided on what they would like to wear on the wedding day. In fact, a bride who knows exactly what she wants is a very rare bride specimen.

In general, women are individuals that can’t make up their minds just like that, in a few second, at least not in matters of wedding dresses. Most women love to shop and spend a whole day in a clothing store in order to find something suitable for them to take home.

When it comes to the wedding dresses, women tend to get even more excited and willing to invest a whole lot of time searching for the wedding dress. The process of trying on wedding dresses is actually a fun moment that most women are not wiling to miss.

But even so, we must be aware of the fact that a wedding means a lot of things and aspects that we need to take care of. And no matter how important and essential our bridal look is, there won’t be any wedding if we will wander around for weeks, hunting every single bridal store where we try on hundreds of wedding dress designs and styles. So, in order to establish some sort of direction or starting point, we advise you to get as many information as you can get on your body shape and on the most adequate types of wedding dresses that are suitable for your figure. This way you will save more time, energy and perhaps money.

No one wants to buy a wedding dress that doesn’t suit our body shape or our personal style, and that is why is so important to be aware of our strengths and weaknesses, in order to make the right decision. Choose the best type of neckline and the best type of skirt for your wedding dress! For example, if you are a pear shaped bride, you should look for A-line wedding dresses or for princess style wedding dresses that can hide fuller hips and make you look more balanced.

Choose a chapel length veil that can also make wonders with your body figure. In case you have an hourglass figure, you can opt for a corset wedding dress style or a two-piece wedding dress that can accentuate your waist line and your body curves. Ball gown wedding dresses are also adequate for this shape.

For petite brides, empire waist wedding dresses or clean simple vertical line wedding dresses are the most indicated ones because they can elongate the body. Avoid mermaid style wedding dresses or ball gown dresses. For taller brides almost any types of wedding dress works, except empire waist dresses that can give you that “tent” look.

Full figure brides with full waist can hide extra stomach lines with a drop waist wedding dress or with a princess style dress. For brides with broader shoulders halter wedding dresses or off the shoulders wedding dresses can do wonders. Women with full arms can opt for a spaghetti strap off the shoulders sheer wedding dress, while brides with fuller busts can try on corset wedding dresses.

It’s true. Before going shopping for the wedding dress one should know the kind of dress she wants and which fits her best. To do that every future bride should look in magazines or online for different models. Then, they should try being very objective and realistic about their figure. When a woman succeeds in doing this, then she should know that some dresses would fit her more than the others. I’ve seen nice brides so far wearing unfortunate unfit gowns and they looked awful just because of that. But no matter what, when going shopping try and stick to three dresses to try on per shop. I’ve been with a friend of mine once to buy her wedding dress and there was this bride… Oh my God how she tried on every dress she wanted! She was still there when we left.
