Sweetheart mermaid wedding dresses

For brides who wish to emphasize the beauty of their figure and the natural curves of their body in particular, the mermaid style can help them do that in a very successful romantic and unique way.

More and more types of brides – formal or casual, traditional or modern, full figure or hour glass, petite or tall, second time or mature – are willing to check out this style and try it on in order to see whether it can make them look as the dreamt about it all day and night or not.

Mermaid style wedding dresses are, in general, suitable and recommended especially for brides with an hourglass figure or for slimmer brides. But these suggestions should not be followed exactly. We encourage full figure or corpulent brides to try on this type of dress and decided for themselves whether it looks good on them or not.

The vast majority of the brides who are choosing to purchase and wear a mermaid style (plus size) wedding dress are brides with corpulent figures who are proud and confident of and in with their curved body and wish to highlight these particular aspects. There is nothing wrong with that! The contrary, any bride should follow her own intuition, vision and sense of aesthetics, style and fashion when looking for wedding dresses.

Usually, these types of wedding dresses are not quite appropriate or recommended, again, for petite brides, for short waisted brides, for thick figure brides or for pears shape brides.

But as we said before, any bride, regardless of her physical condition or frame should try on a mermaid wedding dress if this style is her favorite and see whether it can emphasize her body in a good way or in a bad way. Combined with a sweetheart strapless neckline, the mermaid style can look incredibly gorgeous, romantic, dainty and graceful.

The heart cut neck or the sweetheart neckline is suitable for all the brides who have larger busts or chests and for hourglass figured brides. A sweetheart mermaid wedding dress can make a bride feel absolutely feminine, good looking, attractive, sensual, charming, eye-catchy, stylish, refined, flirty and seductive. The neckline can be strapless or it can feature spaghetti or wider straps that can follow a halter designs, or it can feature sleeves: cap, petal or ¾ length sleeves.

The sweetheart mermaid wedding dress can be worn on both formal and semi-formal types of weddings depending on how revealing the top part of the dress is, meaning the neckline. The dress bride can cover her shoulders and arms if the sweetheart neck is strapless with a matching shawl, bolero or wrap and look more appropriate for a formal classic rigorous wedding ceremony in church.
