There is no other type of motif that can add so much romanticism, naturalness and daintiness as the flower motif in a wedding dress. In general, these flowers are placed on the wedding dress in different patterns and parts of the dress – on the neckline, on the sleeves or straps, on the waist line or on the skirt.
But what if the neckline of the dress or the skirt were cut in a flower shape? Or what do you think of origami themed weddings? Would you find them funky, funny and adorable or simply outrageous and too ostentatious or out of place for a wedding?
In this article we’re going to present you a very whimsical, wild and unconventional type of wedding dress made with or from flowers, namely the origami inspired wedding dress.

As we said in the first paragraph, this type of dress is destined to the off the beat contemporary bride who is looking for that vanguradist unpredictable appearance. In these pictures you will get the chance to see a few designs and styles that are a bit more tolerable and discreet or soft, but those who want to see something even more dramatic and unusual can browse on the internet for more galleries or images with origami inspired wedding dresses.
This style can be worn on a funky and fancy formal or informal modern Japanese themed wedding day by the bold dynamical bride. The origami inspirational design can be placed in the front of the dress – on the bodice or neckline, in the back or over the whole surface of the dress.
From the same category of funky origami inspired wedding dresses are textured wedding dresses, pleated wedding dresses, paper-made like wedding dresses or gathered wrapped material wedding dresses. The modern bride’s needs are nowadays related to things like uniqueness, originality, sophistication, naturalness, attractiveness, wild unpredictable or modern elegance, magnificence, extravagance and drama.
I like making origami, although I’m not very good at it. However, I try and do it. So when looking for models I see very nice and intricate origami shapes that I tend to use for decorations, as jewels or appliques on different kinds of stuff. But origami wedding dresses? that’s an wild idea and I think it would fit me perfectly. not to mention the magnificent idea you gave about a Japanese themed wedding. I could also make some origami decorations for the tables an decor.
as far as these dresses are concerned, they are nice, but something more spectacular is what i had in mind when reading the article. Maybe something like a fan on one shoulder, or like a bird’s wing and the model could continue on theb odice and skirt. Well, i’ll keep looking.
