Dresses To Wear To A Wedding

You’ve been invited to a wedding and you don’t really know what to wear to look unique, distinctive, refined, elegant, fashionable and yet classy. Before you go shopping for dresses to wear to a wedding, you should consider doing a little research to find out what is in vogue this year and what styles are the most suitable for guest attires. The first thing you need to do is to find out what is the style and character of the wedding you are about to attend. You can figure it out from the wedding invitation.

It’s true that not all the couples specify the dress code, but you can look at the location, consider the season of the wedding and think of the most appropriate and matching outfit. Perhaps the invitation reveals the theme of the wedding (if case) – fairy-tale, western, Gothic, Victorian, Retro, Funky, etc. In this case, make sure that you dress accordingly to the theme of the wedding.

In general, the most popular and beautiful guest dresses to wear to a wedding are shorter and therefore more casual, sexy, dainty, stylish, comfortable and attractive. Any type of wedding can make the best context for a cocktail party wedding dress. To help you make an overall image of what cocktail or party guest dresses means, here is a link with pictures of different guest attires that you can choose from: http://www.edressme.com/wedding-guest-dresses.html. After you read the invitation carefully and discovered the character and theme of the wedding you can start thinking of your own style, vision and preferences in matters of dresses.

Whatever the invitation says, do not go with a dress that will prevent you form moving, dancing, breathing properly and feeling comfortable. Make sure that the outfit you’re choosing is practical and yet dainty, chic and feminine. You’re main purpose is to have a good time, so don’t choose a too tight or too elegant or formal dress. If the wedding is to be held outdoors, bring a matching bolero, short jacket, wrap, shawl or cape to cover your shoulders and arm.

One shoulder, spaghetti strap, high neckline and low back cocktail dresses are extremely fashionable these days. If you want to keep the pace with the latest trends, you should know that knee-length dresses with ruffles, lavish bows and ribbons are in vogue this year. For a more romantic, classy, dainty and elegant wedding, opt for a long flowing, ethereal and sensual dress, more in a bohemian style.

If a casual outfit might appear too simple for your expectations, accessorize the dress with matching jewels. But you should know that natural, feminine and simple looks are the first top ones. Choose paste skin tones for natural, delicate and refined sleek weddings and bolder, dynamical colors for a more dramatic, cheerful and playful wedding.

Pretty common sense tips for choosing a dress to go to a wedding and pretty good article. I am going to an informal wedding next week already and I haven’t found the dress that might correspond the requirements. I had the chance to ask more questions about the wedding so I understood I don’t need to wear a too elegant or formal dress. As for the theme, it’s none, no colors I have to wear on purpose, no type of fabric or line. Which is so good for me because I am not in the mood of going through all that hell of buying i don’t know what type of dress. So… I think I might look for one as is the one in orange and blue. Great idea you gave me unwillingly.
