Dresses To Go To A Summer Wedding

So the summer season is finally approaching us with hurrying steps and we haven’t found yet the best dress to wear to the wedding that we’re about to attend. When it comes to choosing the dresses for a summer wedding, some of the female guests start to feel overwhelmed and completely undecided because of the wide range of beautiful options.

But there are a couple of things that one needs to tale into account when shopping for dresses for a summer wedding. To make sure that you’ll dress properly, find out what kind of wedding affair is going to be: casual, less-formal, formal and what the are the wedding location, the color-scheme, the theme and amplitude of the event. This way you shall avoid dressing inappropriate and show up in some inadequate outfit.

Check out the invitations and look for any clues – if there is no specification on the style of the wedding, about the bride’s wish in matters of your outfit. Keep in mind that most of the summer wedding affairs are usually taking place outdoors, under the lovely warmth of the sunrays. That is why you need to be sure of this fact and try searching for less-formal, less black or dark colored and less sophisticated summer wedding dresses. Remember that outdoor weddings have a higher flair of romanticism and naturalness and that is why your summer dress needs to look as simple, colored, feminine and delicate as the wedding décor.

Those early morning weddings, “white tie” or “ultra formal” weddings are very rare, where female guests have to dress up in a long, pretentious and more elegant dress. Go with any vivid, pastel or natural shades such as pink, yellow, green, blue, orange, brown or cream.

Floral patterns are also pretty suitable for summer outdoor weddings, because they match with the natural surroundings. If the wedding is going to have a more formal character, go with navy or deep plum purple dresses that will give you a very dainty and sophisticated look.

Try on those sleeveless summer wedding dresses that go perfect with strappy sandals and shiny subtle jewels. Have your skin suntanned and polish it with glowing soft-lotions that can make you look even more radiant and brilliant. Don’t opt for those heavy, thick or floor-length wedding dress designs that will only make you sweat and unable to move easy and breathe properly.

Go with light-weighted fabrics that drape beautifully on your body figure, such as organza, silk, duchesse satin, batiste, damask, cotton, chiffon or crepe. Try to put on a cocktail design or a flowing, ethereal, floaty or breezy summer wedding dress and see if it matches your body figure. It’s important to bring a matching short jacket or bolero with you in case the weather will get chilly or windy during the night.

Hi there. I have just one little additional comment to make regarding weddings and dresses in general. Wear those types of clothes in which you feel comfortable and that you know they fit you nicely. Do not let yourself fooled by the word wedding and try some new artistic outfits. I’m saying this because I made this stupid mistake once. I had to go to a night time wedding and I thought I will need a very artistic, long and elegant dress. I mean, this is the etiquette, right? So I wore a dress that I would usually not wear, a too tight one and I felt like hell. When I could have worn something more fluid and even shorter if I paid more attention to what was written on the invite. So very useful advice here.
