Dresses For Late Afternoon Wedding

If the wedding you’re about to attend is going to take place during the afternoon and closely to the evening, you’ll definitely need a proper dress or outfit. In general, late afternoon weddings are held somewhere after 5 p.m., and therefore have a more elegant, sleek, dainty, stylish and semi-formal character.

The dresses for a late afternoon wedding have to be more select, classy, dressier and perhaps glamorous than simple, casual, flowing and natural touch. The dress code for late afternoon weddings attest that the female guests have to be more careful and attentive to what they are about to wear. Now it all depends on the season and location of the wedding.

If the event is to be held during the winter time, you can opt for a more formal gown made from sleek velvet and lace. Another option is to go with a full length shimmer dress that has a top stretched in sequins and a matching waist lien satin ribbons, bandana, bow or wrap. If the wedding is going to take place during the autumnal season, ladies can choose a calf length or an ankle length dress made from satin, batiste, rayon or crepe, picturing a sexy trendy one shoulder neckline. Even if the wedding is planned for a spring or summer wedding, don’t forget to bring a matching shawl, wrap, bolero, jacket, cardigan or any other assorted cover or cape to cover your arms and legs and protect you from a rainy, chilly or windy evening weather.

For a spring time event, the dresses for a late afternoon wedding can have a chic tea length and a high neckline with a lower back. On the other hand, if you’re invited to a summer wedding, you can choose something more light, short and sexy. Knee length or above the knee cocktail dresses are perfect for late afternoon wedding affairs. The necks can be wider – V, round, spaghetti strap, strapless, empire waist, corset or off the shoulders necklines are in vogue right now for both brides and female wedding guests. Brides should choose the most suitable design for dresses for a late afternoon wedding, considering their personal style, their body figure, their individuality, vision and preferences. Depending on the color-scheme and theme of the wedding, women can wear different vibrant or pastel shades.

In general, afternoon or evening weddings require a more dramatic, vibrant, sober and dressier look and nuance. That is why you can choose a dress for a late afternoon wedding in the classic colors of black and white that are very fashionable this year, in chocolate brown and cream, in teal and silver, in fuchsia, ruby, deep purple, burgundy, butter yellow, scarlet red, magenta, navy blue, olive green, light violet, gold or bronze.

Hi. I found this article that I really needed and I liked it. I have a better view on what a dress for late afternoon weddings has to be like. Of course that I knew a few things, some common sense things abut this, but I still couldn’t picture this type of dress in my head. Now it’s all clearer and I’m positive I won’t make any mistakes regarding the dress code. I simply don’t know why this wedding had to be held at six in the afternoon and not earlier, like any other weddings. But, it’s their wedding, not mine and I have to follow the etiquette. What is left for me now is to find that dress. Thank you for the tips.
