Dresses For Beach Wedding

If you are planning a wedding outdoor, on the beach especially, then you are going to need all the guidance in the world to pick a wedding dress that will suit you best. A beach wedding means that every eye is going to straighten towards your dress and every other likely detail. That is the main reason for why you should be very careful when going for a wedding with such theme, because your beach wedding dress must look beautiful, according to the general frame.

A wedding outside the doors, in nature, implies all kinds of stuff that must be taken cared of. But the most crucial element is your dress for a beach wedding. First of all, your wedding dress has to look shiny, elegant and practical in the same time. Being comfortable is a must, whether we are talking about a beach wedding, or any other kind of wedding. The more so, for a wedding in nature, where the first and more important than any other aspect of the dress is to elect an outfit that can provide you lightness and ease in movements.

Choosing a more comfortable style of the dress doesn’t have to mean that the gown won’t be attractive and feminine. There are a lot of materials, cuts and designs for a beach wedding dress to look simple, fancy and classy. Outdoor weddings, tropical weddings or beach weddings are extremely different from the regular, normal, indoors weddings. That is why the dress won’t follow the same rules and regulations, or the same patterns and objectives. The beach weddings are definitely the non-traditional styles among other types of weddings, and this is the main difference that requires a different, specialized wedding dress.

Dresses for beach weddings are usually large, long and colored in a bright white nuance or anything near: ivory, cream, yellow maybe, orange or light pink or blue. But the dresses for beach weddings aren’t always necessarily white or anything like that.

Depending on the region you are planning your big event the wedding dress usually goes of the pattern and tries a green, turquoise, dark or navy blue, purple or bright red. If you want a tropical, exotic wedding, none of the colors described above will seem too much for you. The contrary, you may just find them very attractive.

The weather is one of the imperious things that you have to take into account when you are going to choose a wedding dress for the beach. There might be wind, rain or too much sun and heat. That is why you have to make sure that the weather won’t bring you too many ugly surprises at this chapter, although nobody can’t predict with certainty if the weather will suffer sudden changes. If the time is not very hot and sunny, you might want to get a jacket, an umbrella, a veil or anything you could think of o cover your hair if it’s going to rain or be windy. These additional pieces must be perfect matches for the dress and the entire reception decorations.

My wedding is a beach one, but the theme is more like “sailors”. So I imagine my female guests coming in white and navy blue stripped shirts and comfortable short skirts while men in something similar. And my husband-to-be and myself need to be the captains of the beach-ship. So I will dress not that similar. I think however that it is not necessary for a wedding dress for a beach wedding to be long and flowy. A shorter wedding dress seems more appropriate for me. And this is what I want. Something short, maybe just above the knees, not very fluid, because it might be windy, but not tight, of course. And with short sleeves to cover and protect my shoulders. And I want the dress to be all white and to add just a subtle detail in navy-blue.
