Dresses For A Summer Beach Wedding

So you’ve been invited to a beach wedding and you’re searching for a suitable dress that can match the character and formality of the event. To make sure that you understand the right style of the wedding, read carefully the invitation and figure out if the wedding is going to be rather casual than formal, or vice versa.

Look at the location and for any other specifications about the dressing code. But the location of the wedding can tell you sufficient things to realize if the wedding follows a natural, light, easy and comfortable route or goes for something more select, sleek, elegant, sophisticated and formal. If the event is to be held outdoors, on the sandy shore, then you should try on one of those hot and trendy short sundresses that most women today are choosing for a romantic destination wedding.

In general, these guest dresses for a summer beach wedding are more practical and comfortable than the rest of the guest attires for a traditional rigorous wedding. So whatever you will eventually choose, do not go with a layered, voluminous and pompous sand floor length dress. In this case you will only sit on the chair all night long, scared of the fact that your dress might get ruined through the sand or the grass.

If the wedding is more dainty, stylish, intimate and romantic, opt for a flowing calf length dress that drapes beautifully down your legs, picturing a casual, elegant, sensual and feminine look. You can choose a super charming and stunning off-the-shoulders neckline to fit the length of the dress more properly. If you have a full figure body, a calf length flowing and breezy bohemian beach dress might be the thing for you.

Pregnant women can also wear this type of dress and feel confident looking like an angle. If the event has a more classy style, such as retro, vintage or funky, opt for an elegant chic and glamorous tea length dress. This type of dress works beautiful with any sleeveless scooped neckline – sweetheart, spaghetti strap, halter, round, high neck or simple straight neckline. You can enjoy showing your legs and your femininity, style and beauty in this dress. But most dresses for a summer beach wedding have a knee length or an above the knee length that can allow the ladies to breathe properly, dance and have a good time at the night reception party.

You can opt for a unique, fashionable short or mini beach sundress and show off your beautiful tanned skin. If you’re hoping for a sexy and yet elegant look, this is the dress for you. Opt for a colored dress for a summer beach wedding, choosing a more pastel shade – ecru, eggplant, pale yellow, aqua blue, turquoise, baby pink, coral, peach, lime green, light violet, ivory, beige, pearl gray or silver, or try something more vibrant and bold, such as navy blue, olive green, emerald green, fuchsia, hot pink, deep red, chocolate brown, teal, bronze, burgundy, magenta or maroon.

Hello. Thank you very much for this article. i will have to attend a beach wedding quite soon and I’ve never been to such a wedding before. So I don’t want to appear there dressed unaccordingly. I asked for advice to my friends but I still needed some reassurance. And now that I’ve read your article I am sure of what I have to wear. Fortunately short dresses fit me well, otherwise I would have had to wear pants, which I don’t really like at weddings. As for the line of the dress, I think the blue dress that you have here is quite an inspiration for me. Anyways, I know more about the dress code on the beach now, so thank you.
