Draped mermaid style wedding dresses

In case you are interested in wearing something more form-fitting, as in a more alluring wedding dress, perhaps the draped mermaid style can be the exact thing for you.

Many brides today are looking for clever ways to enhance the natural beauty of their body and to emphasize or highlight in a non-ostentatious way the curves of their figure for a more sensational sexy look on the day. There are many ways to do that, but the most efficient inspired way to do it without attracting too many criticizing eyes is to go with a charming draped mermaid style wedding dress.

The draped style is growing more and more in popularity, especially among modern brides who are looking for a more textured, sophisticated and yet dainty and chic simple look.

This style refers to the way the fabric is creating certain creases sketched in diagonal, horizontally or even vertically, depending on the dress, managing to make the bride look even more attractive, remarkable, eye-catching, sensual and unique.

The drapes are there to add more form to the dress and elongate the bride’s figure in order to make it look more slender, delicate and feminine. Perfect for brides who are planning a beach wedding, the draped mermaid style wedding dress can appear like a stunning piece or centerpiece!

It’s true that not all the contemporary brides are mad about this style, but those who are can surely appreciate the way the drapes embrace their body making them obtain that hourglass silhouette that we’re all looking for. The mermaid style is already included in the “allure wedding dresses” section, and when beautified and ornate with drapes, its looks become even more sensational and fabulous.

Adding drapes to a wedding dress is a more modern way of adorning or embellishing it without making it look too revealing or too provocative. The drapes can be created only on the bodice side, on the neck and straps, or they can be seen all over the dress, at least until the trumpet flamenco skirt or train of the mermaid dress. For siren style wedding dresses the drapes are wonderful!

The dress can feature a draped dropped waist or bodice, while the skirt or the train can be made from puffs, layers, frills, tiers or from other sheer textured designs. This way both the upper part of the dress and the down side part are equilibrated through the drapes and the ruffle or poufs.

The draped mermaid style wedding dress can be made from silk – for a more sensual, seductive and fancy look, from chiffon, cotton, tulle or organza, depending on the formality of the wedding, on the season, location and theme or character of the event.

I love the mermaid style but so far I found only very dull dresses following this style. So I thought I would try to look at different other styles and lines, but still mermaid type. I think this draped style is what I am looking for, but I would like to see more extravagant lines. These dresses also seem dull to me. I would have liked to see this draping creating cleaner, sharper patterns on the dress. I need a very extravagant dress for my wedding as the wedding I am planning is going to be very artistic and the friends who are coming at my wedding are expecting this from me.
