Daisy Wedding Dresses

Daisies are known to be delicate flowers therefore their meaning is related to purity and innocence and the positive thing about them is that there is no negative thing connected to their meaning. Daisy is a flower that was often used to decorate the hair of the maidens to prove their innocence and reveal a silent love that was carried in the souls of young girls. It was a common knowledge in earlier times for a maiden who made the gesture to offer a daisy to be understood as an act of affection and to secretly declare love.

The symbols as mentioned before are innocence and purity, as similar as these terms look, they are somehow different in expression. Being innocent doesn’t necessary imply being pure. Daisy can be used also by a married woman in capturing the purity of the mind and soul thus representing the ultimate symbol of sanctity. Daisies are known to stand also for a truth that is kept secret, away from others’ notice.

There is this saying “fresh as a daisy” that defines the youth spirit that one notices to exist in another person. Being aware of the symbolic meaning of this flower fashion designers have created numerous styles of wedding dresses that have daisies embroidered or simply imprinted in the fabrics of the dress’s skirt or daisies embellishing the bodices of the attire.

Some fashion styles in this matter have become famous for the uniqueness of imagination and for the original use of different colored daisies to decorate the wedding dresses. The “Shasta Daisy Style” reveals a daisy wedding dress with a delicate cut to outline the silhouette and retro-style bell skirt connected to a slender waist; or simple A-line or column style with daisies spread all over the skirt in a celebration of floral motifs against the vibrant greens of a garden that hosts the wedding reception.

The “Gerber Daisy Drama” is a style that envisions the modern shocks of color, the palette used in this style containing bright pink, orange and red. For the bridesmaids attire these Gerberas make a beautiful contrast while used against dark brown and black. You can add appliqués daisies to your wedding dress or sew them in beads all over your gown in an attempt to celebrate the youth spirit of your wedding and of your love as well. It happens that daisy is my favorite flower. But not Gerberas. I love those white daisies that you can find on the fields and you can plait them and wear them on your head. I just love this and i love making them. So or my wedding I will follow my dream and I will attach the veil to a daisy coronet. So I will have to choose an appropriate dress. As you said, something fresh. I am aware that I might not wear the veil all through the reception, so I will sew some daisies on my dress, unless I find one with daisies on it already. And the line of the dress should also be something fit. I like for instance the bottom of this dress here. I think this is a very appropriate bottom dress for a daisy style.
