Colored Wedding Dresses

The number of the colored wedding dresses that are available on the market these days is slowly increasing. More and more modern brides want to change the formal classical bridal look and adopt one that is more vibrant, cheerful, thematic and attractive.

White wedding dresses remain a first priority in the lives of most brides, but wedding dresses with colors are also gaining in popularity. But how do we choose a colored wedding dress? How do we know what colors are the most suitable for your wedding and for your personal style? Well, in general, the colors used in wedding dresses are sorted by season.

Each season has its own color palette that is usually followed by the wedding flowers and the bouquets. Since so many couples are willing to spend the wedding day during the colder seasons too, the seasonal colored wedding dresses can be seen quite often. Themed colored wedding dresses are in vogue these years, especially because the colors are meant to symbolize something and to create a principal line and style of the wedding. But let’s see what colors are available for each season in wedding dresses, just to help you decide whether the theme you’re planning is the right one.

For instance, if the wedding is to be held during the spring time, the most suitable colors for wedding dresses are: pale pinks, blushes, eggplants, antique white, peach, vintage orange, lime green, light violet, pale or light yellows, creams, champagnes, pearl grays, ecru, beige or ivory.

If the event is programmed for a summer day, then the best colors for a summer wedding dress are: hot pinks, coral oranges, fuchsias, navy blues, turquoises, silvers, bronzes, olive greens, bright orange, mango orange, brown, tomato red or magenta.

When you are heading towards a fall themed wedding, the best seasonal colored wedding dress is that one with shades of burnt orange, forest green, hunter green, deep purple, mauve, golden or jewel shades, chocolate browns, baby pinks, lilacs, peat, maroon or cream. For a truly magnificent and festive winter wedding, the wedding dress can be colored in shades of deep purple, silver, deep reds, butter yellows, ruby rose pinks, light blues, clear orange, ivory, burgundy or black.

If you are one of those brides that are more conventional and wish for a wedding dress with color, you can opt for a white wedding dress with subtle and refined hints of colors that can be incorporated into the dress through colored sashes, ribbons, bows, flowers, jewel appliqués, embroideries, panels or beadings.

One can buy a wedding dress with a colored neckline, waist lien or hem line, depending on each one’s preferences and visions. Every bride should be aware of the fact that fully colored wedding dresses and gowns can add more distinctiveness, uniqueness, drama, creativeness, style, charm and independency against other brides.
