Christmas Tree Online Fun

If you are a fan of Facebook games and applications and you are just crazy about Christmas holidays and celebration, we have some good news for you: these two have now been combined. And by all these powers combined, here is Gifttreez, the new Facebook Christmas application.

Truth be told, I have seen all kinds of different and funny (or not) Facebook applications. Some of them tell you what is your every day luck. Others simply allow you to send hugs and kisses to friends from your network. Gifttreez is an application that combines two of our favorite Christmas activities: giving – receiving gifts and decorating the Christmas tree. Here are some advantages when you do these things online: you don’t have to spend hours going from store to store to find nice Christmas tree decorations, you don’t have to spend any money on another Christmas tree, you don’t have to spend precious time in picking any more e-cards to e-mail to your friends and you won’t be breaking any globes while decorating.

Just add this application on your profile and then invite your friends to join. As far as I noticed, you can only invite 24 friends at a time but I think this will be improved in time. The first tab of this application is “my tree”. Here you can view all the details of you activity like how many gift you have given away and how many you received, how many points you have, what is your network rank and you also do other things like rearrange the decoration in the tree and upgrade you tree (more about that in a minute).



The “browse treez” tab will show you all your friends that have treez and from this page you can visit each Giftreez profile separately. When you click on a friend’s tree and are directed to his or her page, you now have 2 available activities that will earn you points. The first one is voting. By clicking on the first icon underneath the tree, you will be voting that tree and you will instantly receive 1 point. If any of your friends like your tree and vote it, you will receive 2 points. You can also send Christmas decorations that you put in the friend’s tree along with a message that can be a holiday cheer, a simple hello or whatever crosses your mind in that particular moment. For every decoration that you give out, Gifttreez grants you 10 points and for every gift that you receive you get some more 5 points.



If you are wondering what you need all these points for, know that they are useful for upgrading your small Christmas tree to a bigger and beautiful one. 750 points are the price you have to pay for a medium tree and 1500 points go for big and impressive tree. The more points you can get, the bigger you can make your tree and the higher rank you can achieve in your network. It’s always nice to have some good old holiday competitions.
