The bridesmaid plays an important part in the wedding ceremony and it is important to look amazing for the occasion. Every woman chooses her outfit with care regardless of the event. For a wedding, the search for a great dress requires even more time and effort because we want to look our best. But if you are a bridesmaid, that changes the situation considerably. You are the ‘right hand’ of the bride, you have to be by her side in whatever situation and help her out with what she needs. So besides feeling comfortable throughout the day (because you have to be present at all the rituals that a wedding consists of), you also have to wear a breathtaking gown.

You have to be aware that everyone will analyze you from head to toe in order to see who has the bride chosen as her bridesmaid. The same reason urges the bride to pick a dress for you that will impress everyone. Bridesmaids usually wear a color of the bride’s preference which can be found in different forms in the décor of the wedding. If there are two or more bridesmaids, the custom is to dress them alike. The color is naturally the same, but the cut of the dress can be distinctive for each bridesmaid so as to create a little diversity.

While some brides want the bridesmaids to arrange their hair in the same manner, others are not that restrictive. But whichever the case might be, you should conform to her request because in the end it is her special day and you, as a good friend, have to make sure that everything turns out as planned. Besides, what the movies depict in terms of the bride choosing hideous dresses for the bridesmaids just to be sure that they look at their worse and thus her own beauty ‘shines through’ is bogus. The bride will want you to have an elegant dress because in a way you are a reflection of her.

The gowns can be either knee-length or full-length and usually consist of a singular color. The models vary and are chosen in accordance to the bridesmaid’s silhouette because the cut has to be to her advantage. Strapless, one-shoulder dress, spaghetti straps or a gown with a halter, are all choices that can be made.

Usually the bridesmaid has a more exquisite design in order to draw awareness of the status she occupies in the wedding and this can be obtained through the beautiful detailing of the dress.

The bridesmaids are very important for the bride and groom on their wedding day and the way in which they are dressed is also very important because they must not only match the way the bride is dressed but also the general wedding atmosphere and theme chosen for that special day. Every little detail counts and I think that the best thing is for the bride to discuss these issues with the bridesmaid so that together they might take the best decision in what concerns their dresses and this way make sure that everyone will look and feel great on that special day….and by the way…the bridesmaid dresses in the second picture are just astonishing…the color the way the dresses have been created…they just look great
